Speaking Philosophy
Barb considers it a great privilege to be invited to speak on the topics discussed in her books. If you would like to extend an invitation for her to speak at an event for your church, she recommends that your church leaders read the book first to ensure that they are in agreement with the doctrines she will be teaching. She is willing to speak to groups of men and women, and prefers not to speak on Sundays except by special arrangement.
Speaking Format options
For retreats and conferences about the book, Barb recommends 4 sessions, 45 minutes each, plus a Q&A after the final session. Because this material is theologically rich it is best to take time to explain it well and demonstrate where it is found in scripture. She also offers outlines, discussion questions, devotionals, and music suggestions to accompany this format.
Barb is willing to shape the materials according to your needs, interests, and time requirements. She has been asked to give one hour seminars and 30-45 minute addresses to women's groups, staff and faculty of Christian schools, as well as to church leaders and pastors.
Payment - hotel / travel
When invited to speak, Barb requests that all hotel, travel, and meal costs be covered by the host. Honorarium and expenses vary depending on the type of event, amount of travel required, length of the time away, and total teaching and meeting hours. Barb is happy to discuss what would be involved for her to speak at your church or organization after reviewing your Speaker Request Form.
